South Africa It's tough to sum up this place in a few sentences. We know of their apartheid past all too well. With that over things have gotten much more complicated for them. Violent crime in the cities is out of control, but many of the people are thrilled about being a part of the nation building. For the tourist they have everything; luxurious vineyards, beautiful beaches, rugged mountains, colorful indigenous people and some of the coolest accomodation for backpackers anywhere in the world. Six weeks just wasn't long enough...I'll have to get back. Picture Highlights The hike down from Table Mountain to Kirstenbosch gardens.
