Mozambique
The seventeen years of civil war made for some tough roadtrips and the cities were pretty beat up, but with the mines all cleared it wasn't hard at all to enjoy the beaches. Especially with the colorful Portuguess/African blend of food and music.

Vilankulos
The trip back from the Bazaruto Archepalago (a World Wildlife Federation site). Some
great snorkling.

We never did find out why the busses weren't running.
