Namibia I was a bit rushed at the end of my trip so I could only get in four days for this country so I headed right for the
number one stop - the giant, 300m, sand dunes at Sossusvlei. I did also get to check out some of the German/Dutch influences
at Windhoek and Swapkomond.
Picture Highlights Grabbing a sundowner and treating myself to a little luxury during my stay near the giant dunes.
One of those seemingly endless dirt tracks that I spent much of my 4 days driving on.
The dunes at Sossusvlei.
On the summit of Big Daddy - the biggest of them all. And yes, this place is
as hot as it looks.
Deadvlei, the name says it all. (dead - history, vlei - a small pool of water).
Calcined trees at Deadvlei. Some say they are at least several hundred years old.
