Scotland
My flight to South Africa was going through London so I figured why not tag a couple of weeks on and check ou Scotland.
It is one rugged place. It might rain ten times a day, but it is also equally sunny. Edinburgh was one of the most picturesqe European cities I've come across and you can't match their 'real ales' anywhere.

To my surprise they were filming the next Harry Potter movie in Glencoe - accomadation was tight,
but I eventually found a good place by a river to pitch my tent. This is shot from the movie set.
